Privacy notice.

This site has no contact form, no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. It sets no cookies of any kind, and there is nothing here that follows you to another site.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — an IP address, a timestamp, the page requested, and the browser user agent — for a limited period, in order to keep the site running and secure. We do not use those logs to identify visitors and do not combine them with anything else.

We hold what you send us in order to reply to you and, if an engagement follows, in order to advise you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry, and thereafter the performance of our engagement with you.

We ask that first emails contain no health information. Where an engagement does require health information, we agree a secure means of exchanging it and handle it under the additional protections that special category data attracts.

We do not sell personal data. We do not pass it to clinics, surgeons, manufacturers, or anyone else for marketing, and we receive nothing from anyone for doing so.

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within twelve months. Records of engagements are kept for as long as our professional and legal obligations require, and no longer.

Under UK data protection law you may ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, object to or restrict our processing of it, and ask for a copy in a portable form. Write to us using the details on the contact page and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
